Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 2026Simple, honest privacy rules

1. Privacy at a Glance

This policy explains what First AI Prompt (the "site", "we", "us") collects when you use it, why, how long we keep it and what choices you have. The short version:

  • No account. You can use every prompt without signing up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • No ads. We do not run advertising or social-media tracking, and we do not sell or rent any data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
  • Minimal counts. We count prompt views and copies so we know which prompts are useful. Each count stores a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.
  • Few cookies. A session cookie keeps forms and the admin area secure, and Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits.
  • Your text stays yours. The details you fill into a prompt are never sent to us. They go only to the AI assistant you choose to paste them into.

2. Who We Are

First AI Prompt is a free library of ready-made AI prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and other assistants, each written for a specific industry. We are responsible for the information described in this policy.

This policy covers the public website. It does not cover the websites or services of the AI assistants and other third parties we link to, which have their own privacy policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the small amount of information the site needs to work and to improve the library:

  • Prompt view and copy counts. When you open a prompt page or press its Copy button, we record which prompt it was, whether it was a view or a copy, the date and time, and a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address in plain form.
  • Session cookie. Your browser receives one cookie named aiprompt_sid. It holds a random session ID, which lets the site protect its forms and its Copy button against forged requests. See Cookies and Local Storage below.
  • Visit statistics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are visited, how people found the site, the type of device and browser, and the approximate location (country or city). Google collects this with cookies and your IP address and processes it under its own privacy policy. We do not send Google your name, email or the text you type into a prompt.
  • Search terms. When you search the library, your words are placed in the page address so that the results can be shown and shared. We do not save your searches in our database.
  • Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server and hosting provider may automatically keep standard technical logs. These typically include your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, your browser type and the referring page. They are used to keep the site running, secure and free of abuse.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you.

4. Information We Do Not Collect

Because the site has no visitor accounts and no sign-up forms, we do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, postal address or date of birth (unless you email us yourself).
  • Payment or card details. The site is free and takes no payments.
  • The text you type into the [SQUARE BRACKETS] of a prompt, or the answers your AI assistant gives you.
  • The contents of your clipboard. The Copy button only writes the prompt to your clipboard; it never reads from it.
  • Your precise location, contacts, photos or any other data from your device.
  • Advertising IDs or cross-site advertising profiles.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

  • Show which prompts and pages are most used, and decide which prompts to improve or add next.
  • Keep the site working, fast and secure, including protecting forms and the Copy button from forged requests.
  • Detect and block abuse, such as automated scraping or attempts to break into the admin area.
  • Reply to messages you send us.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or automated decisions about you, and we never sell, rent or trade it.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

The site uses these cookies:

  • aiprompt_sid. A strictly necessary session cookie. It contains a random ID, is marked HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read it) and SameSite=Lax (it is not sent with requests started by other sites), and is sent only over HTTPS when the site runs on HTTPS. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • _ga and _ga_*. Google Analytics cookies, set through Google Tag Manager. They hold a random ID so that repeat visits can be told apart, and last up to 2 years.

We do not use advertising or social-media cookies. If you use the "Fill in your details" form on a prompt page, your short answers and your answer-language choice are saved in your own browser's local storage (keys fap-fill-v1 and fap-fill-lang) so you can reuse them on other prompts. They are never sent to us, and the "Clear my details" button deletes them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout; browsing and copying prompts will keep working.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Apart from Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, the public site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. All fonts and icons are served from our own server. Some features do involve other services:

  • "Open in" buttons. On a prompt page, the ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity buttons open that service in a new tab with the prompt text placed in the link. Once you click, the prompt text and your visit are handled by that company under its own privacy policy, not by us.
  • AI assistants. Anything you paste into an AI assistant, including the details you add to a prompt, is processed by that assistant's provider (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft or Perplexity) under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Provided by Google. They collect the visit statistics described above under Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
  • Hosting. The site runs on a hosting provider that stores our database and server logs on our behalf and processes them only to provide that service.

Before you paste confidential, personal or client information into any AI assistant, check that provider's privacy settings and data-retention rules.

8. How Long We Keep Information

  • View and copy records. Kept for as long as they are useful for usage statistics. They contain only a hashed IP address and cannot be used on their own to contact you.
  • Session cookie. Ends when you close your browser.
  • Google Analytics data. Kept by Google for the retention period set in our Analytics account, and then deleted.
  • Admin sign-in attempts. Failed sign-ins to the admin area are recorded as a hashed IP address to slow down password guessing, and are deleted automatically after 15 minutes or after a successful sign-in.
  • Server logs. Kept for the period set by our hosting provider and then deleted or overwritten.
  • Emails. Kept for as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up.

9. How We Protect Information

We collect as little as possible, which is the strongest protection there is. On top of that, IP addresses are hashed before they are stored, the session cookie is HttpOnly and SameSite, actions that change data are protected by security tokens, and the admin area is protected by password sign-in with hashed passwords and limits on repeated sign-in attempts.

No website can promise perfect security, but if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will act quickly to contain it and tell you where the law requires it.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act or California's CCPA may give you the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to complain to a data protection authority.

Because we do not ask who you are and store IP addresses only as hashes, we usually cannot link any record to you. If you contact us, we will explain what we can find and delete anything we can identify as yours. You can also:

  • Block or clear cookies in your browser.
  • Skip the "Open in" buttons and paste prompts into your assistant yourself.
  • Email us to have any message you sent us deleted.

11. Children's Privacy

First AI Prompt is meant for adults and working professionals. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, for example adding analytics or a new kind of cookie, we will make it clearly visible on the site before it takes effect.

13. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, or want to make a privacy request, please email us at hello@firstaiprompt.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
